Lead DevOps Engineer

Louisville, CO

The Lead DevOps Engineer serves as a core member of the ThreatX Engineering Team, focusing on the design, automation, and monitoring of SaaS solution development and production. Applying candidates should have a track record of leading successful DevOps teams, strong skills and experience in automation/configuration management and cloud infrastructure. This role provides a tremendous opportunity to be part of the team delivering innovative Web Application Security solutions to global enterprises.

You will lead an important team in the design, automation, and monitoring of development and production of SaaS solution. You will provide visibility to trends and best practices in DevOps as ThreatX aims to leverage current technologies and DevOps processes.


  • Day-to-day leadership and mentorship of the DevOps team
  • Accountable for timely design, development, maintenance, and support of the SaaS platform
  • Administration, monitoring, and maintenance & operational support of infrastructure and networking components
  • Create automation and self-provisioning systems for rapid and customer-driven deployments
  • Develop processes and procedures to support the development life-cycle
  • Manage relationship with co-location and cloud service providers

Technical Requirements

  • Strong skills in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of software containers (Docker and Rkt)
  • CIn depth Linux knowledge
  • Shell and automation scripting experience (Bash, Python, etc.)

Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer serves as a core member of the ThreatX Worldwide Sales Team. This role provides a tremendous opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering innovative Web Application Security solutions to global enterprises.

You will be the face of an exciting and innovative company that is disrupting the legacy WAF market. You will delight customers with compelling product demos and successful proof of concept deployments, driving revenue growth within your region.


  • Creating and delivering demonstrations of the solution
  • Gathering technical requirements from the customers
  • Creating evaluation/proof of concept test plans with customers
  • Fine tuning the deployment process for success
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to prioritize customer feature requests
  • Enabling the channel via sales and technical training

Ideal candidates will have prior experience deploying content delivery and web application security solutions including but not limited to: WAF, load balancers, docker containers, VMWare, Kubernetes, IaaS cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.). Candidates should also have practical routing and switching experience (including SPAN or Mirror configurations) and experience with popular SIEM solutions (Splunk, ELK, Arcsight, etc.). Linux and scripting (bash, python, etc.) skills are required to ensure smooth deployments and integrations.

Extensive domestic travel within the territory is required. Some International travel may be required as necessary but will not be frequent.

Technical Requirements

  • BSCS or equivalent and 8+ years of experience as a vendor or channel partner SE
  • Deep understanding of web applications, APIs, application servers (e.g. Nginx, Apache, etc.), application delivery (load balancers, CDNs), and application attacks
  • Practical knowledge of the full OSI stack, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and proxies
  • Considerable experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of Linux distributions (CoreOS, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) on bare-metal, virtual, cloud, and microservices environments (e.g. VMWare, AWS, Kubernetes, service mesh etc.)
  • Good scripting and programming ability (bash, python, etc.)
  • Experience selling, demonstrating, installing, integrating, and troubleshooting Enterprise network security products (e.g. WAF, NGFW, Proxies, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Taps and packet brokers)

Senior Software Engineer

ThreatX is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our highly skilled software engineering team working with state-of -the-art software technologies (Rust, Docker, containers) current design patterns (micro-services, API-driven) and modern SaaS dev-ops and agile development practices.

The ideal candidate is a software development all-star who loves what they do, keeps software engineering discipline current, has demonstrated ability to learn multiple development languages and particularly modern ones, and has experience designing and implementing SaaS scaled, real-time processing solutions. It is important to have a strong professional drive as you will be working in a startup environment with other software professionals with similar high passion.

This position works closely with other engineers to create new designs as well as to continually evolve the ThreatX SaaS platform. This role establishes architecture standards and provides visibility to trends and best practices within software engineering.


    ThreatX is focused on delivering a Next-Gen Web Application Firewall based on behavioral analytics resulting in quick identification and mitigation of threats with low cost of ownership to our customers. The behavioral component of our solution, which is unique in our industry, enables our solution to automatically adapt to the changes in the web application/APIs which in today’s world can occur frequently with DevOps processes. Additionally, behavioral analysis enables our solution to identify stealthy attacks with minimal false positives. The application is real-time and low latency requirements requiring us to leverage real-time software technologies such as Rust. The application is entirely cloud based and architected with micro-services with an API-first approach and leveraging containers/Docker. The team embraces an Agile/DevOps working environment.
